ABOUT BASE CAMP TRENTON
Welcome To Front Street
Our historically renovated, 19th century building sits in the heart of Trenton's historic Mill Hill neighborhood, just down the block from the site of the Second Battle of Trenton (and Starbucks!). When we opened in late 2014, we knew we wanted to do something a little different with our space. Enter: affordable, shared office space.
If you look around our Trenton community you'll see larger-than-life graffiti murals, window washers propelling from the tops of office buildings and flyers for scrabble night at the bookstore wrapped around light posts. The splash of water on the banks of the Delaware mixes with the shrill whistles of trains pulling in from Philadelphia. And if you listen close enough, the crack of a Trenton Thunder home run hit will bounce off the sides of city buses chugging along Cass street.
Ours is a neighborhood of diversity, creativity and a palpable entrepreneurial spirit. So we opened up our extra downtown office space to the dreamers, the artists and the independents. Providing affordable, month-to-month office space for Trentonians, and the interesting people who pass through, is our small way of giving back to a community unique and dear to us.
Local Art Support
During this time of socially distancing, we are displaying local art in our coworking space for our members to enjoy & purchase! We're reminded of the artistic spirit in Trenton when we look across the street to Nam June Paik's unique light sculpture "PBS:1967-2000" (Pictured above).
It was originally installed in 1992 but went dark for several years when Gov. Christie ceased NJN's operations. Advocacy from the team at Artworks Trenton pushed for the iconic piece to be refurbished, and in 2018, the sculpture was relit to its former glory.
Look out for art at the Trenton Community Starbucks, The Roebling Gallery, Mill Hill Saloon and art programming at ArtWorks Trenton. Stay up to date about local art events by following us on Facebook!
Non-Profit Support
Our community is one that uplifts its neighbors; Trenton and the Mercer County area are host to hundreds of non-profit organizations working each day to ensure the health, safety, education and happiness of the community.
That's why at Base Camp Trenton, all registered non-profit organizations receive a 20% discount on private meeting room bookings, day passes and memberships.
Our month-to-month memberships offer professional office space, where members can alternate between working in the shared coworking space and booking private rooms. We're here to help your non-profit further its mission with office space, only when you need it and on any budget. Click below to inquire about non-profit membership at Base Camp.
